The Windows Vista Sidebar is a nice feature to have, and I find it far more convenient to use than the QuickLaunch.  However if you utilize multiple monitors the default settings place the Windows Sidebar on the primary monitor. Since this is to be your main monitor for viewing your programs and working on your documents, it makes better since for the Sidebar to be placed on your other monitor.

To move the Sidebar to the Secondary Monitor perform the following steps;

1. Go to the Notification area on the taskbar and right-click on the Windows Sidebar icon.

2. Click Properties.

3. Change the monitor that displays the Windows Sidebar by using the Display Sidebar on monitor dropdown to select the value of the desired monitor.

4. Click OK.
