Everyone wants to go to Milan

When Microsoft showcases any of its new technologies the crowd usually sighs in awe and the goes back to minding their own business. Because of the stereotype associated with Microsoft these days, everyone thinks that it will be years before Microsoft releases any of the products it showcases today. For example, Windows Vista was two years overdue, Longhorn is still not released, SQL Server was five years in the making. So when Steve Ballmer announced the latest product code named Milan, everyone was in awe. The demonstration of this new table, multi-touch computer was amazing, and most importantly it worked without any hick ups.
