Often when you are writing a document in Word you want to label your images.  If you don’t want to mar the actual image, the easy way to do it is to use a Caption.  Here is how to attach a caption to an image in Word.

Select the picture or graphic you want to add your caption to.  Click the References tab on the Ribbon and click Insert Caption.

Click the New Label button and type in what you would like to appear as your caption.

Click Ok and you will see that the Caption and Label fields now are populated with what you wrote in the Label Dialog Box.

Click Ok again.

Word will now apply your caption to your image in the document.

Nice one. Simple yet worth the read. We don’t have a lot of MS Word stuff on TekTag.com, but we’re adding this one.
