DomPlayer 3wPlayer Fix

Recently a bunch of hose bags have been upping files on Torrents sites that require a “special player” to see the video. This player is full of spyware, Trojans, viruses and crap! Often the video is still the original, or decent quality. Here is how to decrypt these videos and watch them without this crap special player.
When you play the video you’ll be presented with a screen telling you that you don’t have the appropriate player and that you need to visit a particular website to get the player.

Once you download it, it will most likely say that you are not in a country that they can accept payment from! Bullshit!
They then redirect you to another site. The 3wPlayer. This is the spyware laden piece of crap.
Often the files themselves are pretty good, it’s just the header information that is being incorrectly read. There are two tracks for video in an AVI file and most player read one of them. This player picks up the other one, making the file play a few seconds and the rest appear to be garbage.
You can download a utility from Wildman Productions that will remove the crap and allow you to play the video normally.
It is mirrored on our site here.
Once you download it, just simply run the file.
In the Input File click the browse button to locate the file.
Click corresponding button in the Output File section to specify where you want to save the file.
When you are ready click Convert.
In about 20 seconds your file will be repaired and you can play it in Windows Media, VLC, Quicktime….whatever you want!

Well thnks, i downloaded like 4 episodes and all were encoded for that domplayer crap. Fortunatly i never got to download the player, and when i downloaded the coverter you mention it turned out that the episodes were form a diferent series, they are really making fun of people and imposing the player and/or they trojans in the mean time.

There is another option. That you got a fake file. What these guys do is try to capitalize on hyped releases. Some of the videos they have put out are real, others are fake, some are even blank!!!

If you missed that part, the website guys aren’t going to bother troubleshooting your 3wplayer install issue….uninstall it and follow the instructions here.

i played the new file and i was told “this media file can only be played with the 3wplayer…so on…”
so now instead of asking me to use the domplayer it is asking me to use 3wplayer…what dif happened here?

There is a really good chance that the video file you downloaded is padded with junk. The trick 3wplayer uses is they offset the “frame” so that the 3wplayer screen displays instead of a video. If you make a junk video, it just takes up space, looks real and unsuspecting people waste their time. They caught me twice, once with Prison Break which ended up being Heroes and another time with American Gangster which after days of hacking and cracking I found out the video file was garbage…there was no video, just a blank file.

If you have a newer MAC (Intel Chip) I’d say do a dual boot, you can get away with a small Windows partition for just such an emergency. If not, then install Parallels. There’s an article about setting it up here as well, and there is a trial version, it’ll be enough to convert the video.

It works fine.
Only sorrow is that so many of the movies seem to be just crap – like porn or some such.
I wonder why so many people (terrorists?) find it amusing to place bogus files for others to download.

To make the program launch you need to have .net framework installed. If you don’t you’ll get the application failed to initialize error.
And remember, domplayer makes money from you visiting their site and downloading their crap not from serving you a real file! 99 out of 100 times these files are fake!!!!!
Mnace, run the hack again because it should free up the file, but if it doesn’t you downloaded one of the fake files. There really has to be some sort of way of tracking these bastards who post those files.

was searching for info as downloaded what was to be episode 9 of season 4 of stargate atlantis and got this domplayer thing did some checking and came across this site with the converter link TY it worked and like others all I got was a copy of heros… oddly was from a canadain TV station.. hmmmmmm and I agree who would think this is fun or funny

I figured I would try to decode it again… It worked, but the video is not Tranny porn, but some show called the “Hipster Olympics”, not Dexter S02E02 that i was hoping for. It’s horrible quality, no sound, and all in fast motion. :/

hey guys i just opened 3wplayer avi decoder and when i go to input a movie it says Application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy, To grant this application te required permision, contact ur system admin. or use microsoft .net framework configuration tool…. ?!?!?! what to do thankyou

Download contains domplayer coding. After converting (using 3wplayer), file could not be played (”does not appear to contain video track”). So be aware!

i am currently downloading “Hitman.2007.DVDRiP.Eng.XviD-LMB.avi” from isohunt and am 75% through it. im pretty sure this is gonna be the same fake-arse shit but am going to try the conversion to see the problem first hand, ive never run into this problem before. as “ktheking” said before ‘Suits me right … I shouldn’t have been that dumb to think a DVD shows up on such short notice ‘, often the files are called sumthing like dvdrip to attract downloaders, but are ussually still a reasonable quality (or sometimes pirated) copy of the film.

W3decoder didnt work for me, and im choosing not to use it, i figure its best to stay away from this sort of thing altogether.
i tried opening my file of ‘Hitman’ with ‘Real Alternative’, a media player i find to be the best, and it said “could not open file ‘That70sTransexualShow’”. i say fuck it noone go near this shit.

Those Flipin Duch Bags should go to hell. I had to download that crapy domplayer just to be able to get my movie playable and it made it to where i had to redo my whole flippin computer sincoding and fucking design as of to how I had it over again. I was shut down for almost two weeks trying to undo the damage that they did. ANYONE WHO’S SMART AT ALL, PLEASE DONT BE AN IDIOT AND DOWNLOAD THE DOMPLAYER CRAP. Yep, just downloaded last weeks Smallville, and it gave me that stupid screen, cant be viewed from my area download this dom crap…… of course being blonde I tried it, thank god I have a protector throughout our network at work else I’d be screwed I think. Downloaded “I am Legend” twice… both the times I landed up with a special file that can only be played in DOMCrapper. Tried decoding it with the said 3wDecoder, but the decoded file was still a single-scene movie(some ad for DVD Decoder). Just my luck ! Well, it’s some consolation that I didn’t get Tranny porn. I suspect it’s either the MPAA or this DOMPlayer company that are uploading these files. Grrr…

and it had the domplayer message too. I decoded it, but after reading all these commnents, i don’t think I’m gonna bother even opening the new file. I don’t feel like being caught off guard by some disgusting tranny porn!

1)If any one have found that a file is a dom player please mark it junk
2)donot download any movie b4 you are sure that its time for that movie to be relesed.
3)every one please try do find good movies and share them on net
4)if you buy a dvd or rent it or a pirated movie just share it on net.

I’ve seen this happen a couple of times, luckily since I run Linux I can very easily preview videos after 20 megs or so have been DL so… if I see this crap, I steer clear!! I’m sure there must be SOMe way for you guys to find the file being DLd in windows (maybe a Tmp folder??) and preview it. Better to find this out at 10 mb than 700… :S

this little decoder program doesnt work.. It says, Error: (file name and path) is not an .AVI
obviously the domplayer/3wPlayer tranny lovers have caught on to this little program and arent masking other video formats as avi’s..
This program needs a serious update to include all file formats…
