A Dozen Good Reasons

Safari has been released on the Windows platform in Beta form. Here are the top 12 reasons that you should download and try Safari.
Blazing Performance
Safari is the fastest web browser on any platform. It uses the KHTML rendering engine whose benchmarks disgustingly beat anything else out in the market right now.
Elegant User Interface
Safari’s clean look lets you focus on the web — not your browser. Not a lot of glamour, just functionality. Extensions, add-ons and toolbars will be the norm in the Release Candidate, but as a tech guy I like the Spartan look, not the Disney look.
Easy Bookmarks
Organize your bookmarks just like you organize music in iTunes. Not the best selling point, but I can’t say that the cataloguing ability of Safari isn’t at the very least functional.
Pop-up Blocking
Say goodbye to annoying pop-up ads and pop-under windows. The Pop-Up blocker is one of the best in the business.
Inline Find
Search any text on any website with the integrated Find banner. Other browsers do have this functionality, but it is cumbersome to get to it. Safari has it front and centre.
Tabbed Browsing
Open and switch between multiple web pages in a single window. Everyone has tabs these days….nothing new, but I still love tabs.
SnapBack
Instantly snap back to search results or the top level of a website. Genius. You don’t have to click back 20 times or look for the Home button on a web site.
Forms AutoFill
Let Safari complete online forms for you, automatically and securely. Everyone has this, Safari just has better encryption.
Built-in RSS
RSS tells you when new content is added to your favorite sites. Sweet. IE will eventually get this right, Firefox already has.
Resizable Text Fields
Resize text fields on any website: Just grab the corner and drag. Let’s see the other browsers do this.
Private Browsing
Keep your online activities private with a single click. Very nice security feature, especially when you buy anniversary gifts for your wife on Ebay.
Security
Apple engineers designed Safari to be secure from day one. Period.
